Clients have been so thrilled with Debra Kameros’ superior service and results they would “nominate her in a heartbeat for the Nobel Prize for real estate, if there were one.” That certainly says a lot about how effectively she conducts business, and how successfully she gets deals done. An accomplished, sought-after and distinguished professional with nearly three decades of experience, Debra has continually exceeded her clients’ expectations, even in challenging markets. Sellers praise her ability to market their properties and network of contacts that ensure the most traffic and get the best price; while buyers are equally impressed by her exceptional knowledge and instincts that help secure their dream home.
Prior to joining Compass, Debra and her team spent seven years at Douglas Elliman as a perennial top producing team. Before joining forces with Douglas Elliman, Debra ran one of Manhattan’s finest boutique brokerage firms, Debra Kameros Company in Greenwich Village, for 25 years, forging an outstanding reputation for selling some of the most unique properties Downtown and throughout the city. She built her name, and her team, on the valued principles of integrity, humanity, dedication and accessibility.
Debra’s honest, down-to-earth, full-service-and-beyond approach is truly a breath of fresh air. Debra is proud of the fact that so many remain in the home she’s found for them, even after many years. Calm in her demeanor and sharp in her negotiating, she makes the real estate experience as seamless as possible. No matter what task or time of day, Debra and her team is there. Each client is top priority… and with experts handling every detail of a transaction, their needs are met with the best collaborative hands-on service in the business.
A native New Yorker and graduate of Stuyvesant High School where she still remains active, Debra went on to study Comparative Literature in English and Italian, which she speaks fluently, at SUNY Stony Brook. She is a longtime resident of the West Village and the mother of two daughters. Outside of work and family, Debra is passionate about music, literature, food, languages, travel, Italy and all things Italian, France, skiing (especially in Colorado), New Orleans, and of course, New York City.
