In addition to doing real estate deals, Alan teaches at the Academy for Continuing Education and is a certified instructor at REBNY for continuing education courses twice a year. He is also a member of the Institute for Global Ethics and participates in its seminars. As one of the founding members, Alan helped to pioneer a high-level Advanced Post Graduate Designation Real Estate Course known as New York Residential Specialist. Prior to real estate, Alan had a very successful career in the fashion industry. After 12 years at Levi Strauss & Company where he rose from Sales Trainee to the rank of National Sales Manager in the Women’s Division, he left to become President of Calvin Klein Jeans where he had the longest tenure in the company’s history of 10 years. Alan’s vast experience accompanied by his immense sales and marketing expertise makes him a perfect fit for his current role at Rutenberg.
Complementing his impressive professional profile, Alan maintains an active lifestyle in the community and supports several non-profit organizations that benefit education, health, and the environment. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and friends. He loves to dance and embraces sports activities such as swimming and bicycle riding.
